About Us

Who we are

New Malden Vets is a modern, well equipped small animal practice located in the centre of New Malden. We treat cats, dogs and small pets.

As owners ourselves we know that our pets are part of the family, and how important it is to be involved in their care and well-being. Our aim is to work with you to provide high quality care, treatment and vet advice, whether your pet needs major surgery or a routine but important checkup and vaccination.

The practice is managed by Clinical Directors Elizabeth Starritt and Harriet Oakley, who have been with the practice for many years. They took charge of the business in 2016 and 2021 respectively. They are helped by experienced assistant vets and dedicated veterinary nurses, plus a support team on reception. A lot of staff members have been with the practice for many years, which means we get to know our clients well, and familiar staff care for our patients from puppy and kittenhood through to old age. Our team are encouraged in their career development and attend courses to keep them up to date. We are a veterinary nurse training centre.

New Malden Vets is accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Practice Standards Scheme, which means:

  • Our clinic has been inspected by the college and approved to a high standard
  • Our staff are well trained
  • Our equipment is safe and up to date

We are the only vets in New Malden to be accredited, and are proud of this achievement. The practice was refurbished in 2012, and shortly afterwards was awarded a Gold Standard ‘Cat Friendly Clinic‘ status, the first clinic in Surrey to be accredited.

We offer a full range of clinical and diagnostic services.
