Practice History
The practice was started by Peter Hope in 1972. John Davies joined in 1978 and became an equal partner in 1982. The practice became known as Hope and Davies in 1981.
Margo Scott joined the practice in 1984. Apart from two brief abscences in 1987 and 1989 for maternity leave, she has been here ever since.
Jackie Cox joined the practice in 1995. She became an associate in 1999.
Peter and John completely refurbished the practice in 1989. The premises were upgraded to give three consulting rooms, kennelling for all sizes of patient from Great Dane to hamster including an isolation area for infectious cases, a dedicated operating theatre, preparation areas, offices and a flat (see our practice tour)
Margo and Jackie took over the practice when Peter and John retired in 2003. They have continued the practice ethos of providing a comprehensive caring service for the pet-owning community of New Malden and the surrounding area.
The new partners have continued the development of the practice. Our staff are encouraged in their career development and attend courses to keep them up to date. We are a veterinary nurse training centre. We are accredited as a Tier 2 practice under the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme.
The facilities and equipment are maintained to a high standard in order to provide our patients with an excellent standard of care.
